This is a great, great movie. It kept me totally engaged from beginning to end. The first Robert Altman movie I saw was ‘M.A.S.H.’ in 1970. My parents took my brother and I to see it and even as a 17 year old High School senior I totally enjoyed it. Anyone who wants to see a really good subtle satire of the entertainment business would do well to watch this film. Everything about it says filmmaking at it’s finest.
These situation was a big ego booster for Woody Allen. Making the public believe a girl like Mariel was deeply in love with him.
Well... that clears up a long-standing mystery. I woke up as a teenager to the Z-morning Zoo on Z100 (NYC radio station), and I couldn't remember if I imagined them talking about selling Madonna's pap-smear or if it was a bizarre 'not yet awake' kind of dream... Now... seeing this... it all begins to make sense... (Having an eidetic memory cluttered up with this kind of crap is ridiculous)
Classic movie but looking back Woody thought a hot 17 year old was an actual possibility for him. You've got to be kidding. Dude is super creepy. He should have directed another actor that could have made the role believable. Mariel is adorable. Regardless a great film.
Love this

this Movie Is Really Good and This Scene is Like a See A Michael Bay's Movie but Its Better
I was shown this movie when I was about 8 or 9 and this scene was the only thing I remembered from it. I loved the scene so much I redrew it with my own characters. Finding that paper in a box of old stuff triggered the memory and I set out to find the clip as I had no memory of the movie name. So glad I found this, gave me a good laugh like it did back then.
Jajajaj….that skeleton “ I’m gonna rip his balls off”…jajajaj
This really shows just how huge Gunpowder was when it came to warfare. Yes, Ash couldn't give the defenders guns, but he could give them bombs. The defenders absolutely decimated the Deadites lines. The Deadites only got in because of sheer numbers, the old fashioned defences did a lot of damage on their own.
I distinctly remember being a kid and laughing at the "OHH.,...OHH YOU MISERABLE BAGS OF BONES!" But I have no idea why. I think it's all in the execution (or should I say....their execution.....get it? Yes? Yes? No? .....ok....).
Altman, the most annoying director of the 70s.
“What the hell’s that? Never heard of it.” Hahahahahaa
Ashs medieval armor/outfit looks so badass. Bruce Campbell is one handsome mofo
Evil Ash: Bring forth the scout! Deadite Scout: Whoa… Milord, we are positioned on both fronts. Evil Ash: Fine, fine, fine! Where are they keeping my book? Deadite Scout: There, milord, beyond the wall, the parapet. That would be the most likely place. Evil Ash: Right. Bring me forth INTO THAT CASTLE!! Deadite Scout: Forward! Deadite Foot Soldier 1: Forward! Deadite Foot Soldier 2: Cry havoc and let loose the dogs of war! Deadite Foot Soldier 3: To the castle! Deadite Foot Soldier 4: Death to the mortals!
What is the music at 3:47?

Few actors could do pathos like Karloff and do it as well.
I love what he does with his arms when he says his band changed their name.

I moved to Austin in 2009 thinking this is what I would find, and not one person has tried to sell me a Madonna pap smear yet.
That Austin has been dead for over 25 years. Lost to gentrification.
